Elrod Tax Service was founded by Tony Elrod in January 1977, and has been at its present location on East Broad Street since 1983. Elrod Tax Service has been continuously owned and operated by the Elrod family since its inception, and is currently owned by Tony’s daughter, Amanda Elrod. But don’t worry, Tony’s still around; Amanda says he can’t retire until she does.

Elrod Tax Service has always focused on being a family-friendly office. We have learned that many people are already uncomfortable about completing their income tax returns, but here we focus on putting them at ease. You won’t find a preparer in a three-piece suit here!

Besides the friendly atmosphere and free coffee, you will also find a moderate collection of all things nautical. Tony was in the Coast Guard in his younger days, and has been collecting boats, ships, lighthouses, and anything else related he can think of, ever since.
